I realized that I had some photos saved from last semester. These pictures are a little bittersweet, but contain beautiful memories nonetheless.
At The Keg for a birthday splurge: grilled top sirloin.
A rainbow on an autumn palette.
Happy birthday, Amy!
A buttermilk, banana, almond butter, whipped cream and chocolate affair for the birthday girl.
Fall flavours (with some summer nostalgia): prepping black bean, pumpkin, zucchini and lime soup, with blanched kale on the side.
Does the colour orange stimulate appetite?
Trying to be as veggie as possible: whole wheat pita, baby kale, hummus, avocado and tomato salsa.
That wraps up my photos from 2012. It's already February, but here's to 2013 - let's make another year of great food and great memories!
God, you can probably hear my stomach roaring like a tiger!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you enjoy pumpkin soup, I never thought of pumpkin soup in theory would be a good soup, but tried it and it's really great in the fall/winter.
I don't recall seeing any chili postings from you, I like making chili, without meat but haven't been able to get it really spicy, may be you could post (or rather torture is more appropriate as that's what my stomach is feeling after seeing all this great food) something about chili?
Alex
Savoury dishes made with pumpkin are underrated, in my opinion!
DeleteI don't believe I've posted about any of the chilis I've made, but now that you've brought it to my attention, I must remedy that fact. Without meat - sounds like a challenge, but I'll take it. Are you vegetarian?
That'd be great, can't wait to check it out.
DeleteNot vegetarian, just seems to be better without meat.
Awesome blog, you really should get sponsored by someone, you have talent, you have great future ahead of you it seems...
